Rona was my cheeky, sausage-scented sidekick who filled every day with love, laughter, and muddy paws.
My last dog was Rona, a Patterdale x , I got her in July of 2010 aged 9wks, she was a fab dog and we had a good few adventures together, we used to go for a walk down by the river at Kilsheelan and she just loved the ducks, so much so that always carried a knife and fork and a bottle of Ketchup just in case she came near one (or two)!!!! When I would come in late after work Rona would be there to greet me and the tail would nearly fall off her with happiness. I have many lovely memories of her like the time she stealthily got into the back of an An Post van years ago and the Postman only found her when he opened the doors back at the Post Office, she was fed half a breakfast roll, I got a call to tell me the trip she had made and to ask where she was from, she was dropped back up to me reeking of sausages and rashers!! Unfortunately years later at the age of 13 she became very unwell and I had to make the saddest decision ever to put her to sleep. I have photos of her everywhere around the house and she'll never be forgotten x
