Noodle
Noodle was a sock-thieving, chaos-loving blur of joy who left our hearts (and house) full.
Okay so, like, my ferret Noodle was a complete menace but in the best way possible. She could slip through any crack, I swear she had no bones. We had to ferret-proof the whole house and even then, she somehow got into the snack cabinet. She stole an entire granola bar once and hid it under the couch. She never stayed still. Ever. You’d blink and she’d be gone. Like, teleporting gone. Dad called her “the sock thief” because she had this weird obsession with dragging socks into her little hammock. Noodle was the best distraction from everything. Bad day? Hold the ferret. Crying? She’d climb into your sleeve and fall asleep. I didn’t expect to cry as hard as I did when she didn’t wake up. She just curled up like always, in her pile of fleece and didn’t move again. The house feels kinda boring without her tearing through it at full speed. I still find random socks stashed behind furniture, like she’s haunting us in the cutest way. Miss you, Noodle.
